Meet our instructors:
Jackie Watson, Creative Director

Jackie is a graduate of UNC-Greensboro with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Masters in Business Education. She studied dance under various instructors in New Bern, North Carolina, Las Vegas, Nevada, at East Carolina University, and at UNC-Greensboro. Jackie has taught dance to children and adults for over 9 years and she was co-director of Rejoice Dance Company and Outreach Company of Burlington, NC. Jackie's passion is to teach children and adults how to use their God-given gifts to glorify Christ through movement. Jackie has been married for fifteen years and she and Tommy are the proud parents of Caleb (11), Karis (8) and Zeke.

Erin Hummel, Office Manager

Erin is a Florida native and graduate of the University of South Florida, with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders. She and her husband of twelve years, David, have two children, Lily and Luke. In addition to homeschooling her children and working at Masterpiece Studios, Erin is actively involved in her church, serving on both the children’s ministry and community outreach teams. Erin loves being a part of Masterpiece's family-friendly atmosphere, where she's surrounded by clients and coworkers that feel more like friends and family!

Erika Crosier, Visual Art Instructor

Erika currently teaches Art at Benton Heights Elementary School of the Arts. She graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Art Education. God is the center of her life, and by using art as a tool, she wants her students to realize and utilize the unique gifts that God has given each of them. Erika's purpose for teaching at Masterpiece Studios is to bring energy, creativity, and awareness to the awesome things that God is doing in and around us.

Megan Hardgrave, Visual Art Instructor

Megan has been a freelance artist and a stay at home mom for the last eight years. She is currently enrolled at Queens University - CLL in Fine Arts. Megan believes we are made in the image of a creative God and therefore we are all creative. Her goal at Masterpiece Studios is to unleash the unique creativity in each of her students and teach them about the beauty God has created all around them. Megan has been married for almost 9 years to her husband Steven and they have three beautiful children, Chris, Analiese, and Sicily.

Wendy Becker, Special Needs Instructor

Wendy graduated from Queens University with a degree in Human and Community Service and a concentration in developmental disabilities. During her internship she taught dance to children with disabilities and that group was invited many places to perform including the White House. Currently, Wendy teaches 4 year olds at Metrolina Christian Preschool. Wendy's passion is to work with children with special needs knowing that God created every child and they are His masterpiece and are perfect just the way they are.
